PLAINVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY

New Virtual Author Talks!

Get in the know with nationally known authors. Visit our online calendar of events!

We heard you that you want more adult programming, especially author events. And while we can’t afford getting nationally known authors to our library every month we can offer you a unique online experience with bestselling authors.

Each month, the Plainville Public Library is pleased to offer 2-3 live, online events with bestselling authors. These virtual author talks feature bestselling, award-winning and highly acclaimed authors from around the world.

The featured writers and thought leaders will encompass a wide range of fiction and nonfiction genres.  During each moderated event, authors answer questions submitted by viewers. So make sure you enter your questions when you register for the event. If you miss a live event—no worries!

Each event is recorded. You can watch previously-recorded author talks through our dedicated virtual author talk website

Virtual Author Talks are an excellent way to experience thoughts and insights from some of the talented, bestselling authors we offer on our shelves. Be sure to browse the backlog of events and put some of the upcoming events into your calendar to experience them live! And look for watch parties in the future where you can get together and view these live events in person and meet others who also love to read, discuss, and learn.

These events are all sponsored by the Friends of the Plainville Public Library, Inc.
