STREET SWEEPING TO BEGIN TODAY, MARCH 31, 2025 – NOW ALIGNED WITH RECYCLING DAYS

PAWTUCKET – Mayor Donald R. Grebien and the Pawtucket City Council have announced that street sweeping will begin today, Monday, March 31, 2025. In an effort to streamline services and improve efficiency, street cleaning will occur during the first two recycling weeks of the monthly collection schedule.
To ensure safety and effectiveness, on-street parking will be prohibited from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on scheduled street-sweeping days.
This city initiative will enhance recycling and street-sweeping services, resulting in a cleaner and greener city. Aligning the schedules will give the City easier access to clean the streets, streamline recycling bin pick-up, and make it easier for residents to identify when to avoid on-street parking. It will also provide more reliable recycling pickup.
Street sweeping will be conducted from March 31, 2025, through October 31, 2025. Updated street sweeping and no parking signs will indicate the specific days when residents can expect street sweeping to occur. The police are authorized to order the removal of vehicles, and any vehicle that is towed can be retrieved after paying all fines, towing fees, and storage costs.
