Kate Taylor, of the renowned Martha’s Vineyard via North Carolina musical clan that includes brothers James, Livingston, Alex, and Hugh, is returning to the Cultural Center with her unique blend of singer-songwriter music that takes a pinch of pop, country, and rock n roll to deliver a show to remember!
Her latest studio album, WHY WAIT!, which reunites her with many of the key players, Russ Kunkel, Danny Kortchmar, and Leland Skar, from her 1971 debut, was produced by music veteran Peter Asher.
James Taylor told Rolling Stone: “For Kate to be doing this with Peter, and that both of them have this life experience that brings them back together, it’s really a moving thing. I think it’s so great that Kate will have this next iteration, you know, this next chance for people to hear her and pick up on her.”

“We are not women; we are gods. V2”

Fri, Apr 4, 5-7pm. Free Event
“We are not women; we are gods. V2” is a group exhibition of 2D and 3D works that capture the lyrical genius of Halsey’s words: I’m not a legend; I’m a fraud. We want this life to mean much more: blink, blink, flash, the old life’s gone, the blinds pulled back to a bright new dawn – a life worth living at what cost we were made a name, all for everlasting fame.
In our lives, we are the conduits where time collides, and societal ideas of women change. As artists, we present these changes in ways others can’t – change, endings, and new beginnings.
This exhibition, displayed from April 1- 26, is in partnership with the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.
