Taft Street Closure Notice: Jenks Way to Spencer Street Closed for Ongoing Narragansett Bay Commission Project
PAWTUCKET – Beginning March 18, 2025, Taft Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Jenks Way and Spencer Street until December. The closure is due to construction by the Narragansett Bay Commission. Both lanes of traffic will be closed for the duration of the project. There will be alternate traffic routes designated with the appropriate signage.
A designated walkway will remain open 24/7 for pedestrians, and emergency vehicles will continue to have access as needed.
This extended closure will not impact any existing plans on event days as we begin the inaugural season of the RIFC at the state-of-the-art Tidewater Stadium.
