Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England Celebrates National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend February 21-23

Warwick, RI—February 20, 2025—Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England is excited to announce that the sweetest weekend of the year is here – National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend! GSSNE invites everyone to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, taking place February 21—23. National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend marks the time when consumers across the nation can purchase cookies in person from Girl Scouts at any local booth as well as order cookies for direct shipment to their front door using the Girl Scout Cookie Finder. As always, all Girl Scout Cookie® proceeds stay with local troops and our council in Southern New England, powering life-changing experiences year-round for Girl Scouts.
Throughout the cookie season, Girl Scouts learn entrepreneurial prowess, mastering a range of abilities including goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and business ethics as they embark on journeys toward the endless possibilities of the future. By gaining courage, confidence, and character, Girl Scouts can unbox a brighter tomorrow not only for themselves but also for their communities.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend marks a time when America’s favorite cookies are widely available across the United States with each purchase supporting local Girl Scouts. Utilizing the funds they earn, Girl Scouts embark on life-changing adventures in STEM, entrepreneurship, the outdoors, life skills, and beyond, all powered by Girl Scout programming. These proceeds help fund what matters most: attending Girl Scout summer camp, going on fun field trips, troop travel, volunteer training, and meaningful community service projects. As consumers open their favorite package of Girl Scout Cookies, they are helping troops in their community explore their leadership potential, build lifelong friendships, and make the world around them a better place.

“We love seeing Girl Scouts in our area experiencing new adventures with their cookie proceeds. Many sell cookies to help pay for their summer camp experiences,” said Ginger Lallo, GSSNE Chief Operating Officer. “We’ve also seen troops travel to Thailand, Croatia, and Greece, just to name a few; we’ve seen them go to NYC for a Broadway show, white water rafting or horseback riding; we’ve seen them support other local nonprofits by choosing to donate their proceeds or time. We can’t wait to see what Girl Scouts do with their proceeds this year with the help of our community supporters!”
How You Can Find Girl Scout Cookies During National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend:
If you know a registered Girl Scout, support them and their troop by finding out how they are selling cookies—whether in person, online or both!

We Are Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs across Southeastern New England, girls and gender-expansive youth of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves in a safe space as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges. Backed strong friendships and trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
Girl Scouts feel comfortable trying new things without the pressure to be perfect, speaking their minds, and processing their emotions in healthy ways. They discover how being different makes them special, strengthens their sense of belonging, and, ultimately, makes them proud to be themselves. That’s the magic of Girl Scouting.
