City of Pawtucket Partners Signs Lease Agreement with Hope Artiste Village to Expand Greenspace with New Dog Park
PAWTUCKET – The City of Pawtucket has officially signed a lease agreement with Hope Artiste Village to establish a new dog park in one of its existing parking lots.
This exciting development will expand the city’s greenspace while offering residents and their pets a dedicated area to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors.
The new dog park will be located on Esten Avenue and span 4.63 acres. This initiative is part of the city’s broader commitment to enhancing recreational amenities for the community.
The dog park will be located near the Morley Field revitalization project, creating a cohesive network of greenspaces that contribute to Pawtucket’s ongoing efforts to improve residents’ quality of life.
“Expanding greenspace and providing more recreational opportunities for our residents is a top priority,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “This partnership with Hope Artiste Village will not only address a growing demand for dog-friendly spaces but also complement our efforts of revitalizing a portion of Morley Field, and our recent purchase of Riverside Cemetary.
I want to thank the City Council for their support of this initiative. These projects reflect our commitment to a greener, more connected community.”
The lease agreement, authorized by the City Council, reflects a shared vision between the City and Hope Artiste Village to provide tangible benefits to the surrounding community.
The creation of this new dog park builds on Pawtucket’s success in developing similar spaces in Slater Park and Veterans Memorial Park, which have been widely praised by the community.
More details regarding the design and construction of the park will be shared in the coming months.
