Bread was the foundation of the English diet. Cheate bread, a type of whole grain bread commonly eaten by the English middle class, would have been a familiar staple to the Pilgrims.
You’ll learn to make a hearty 17th-century cheate bread dough and while it’s baking in our wood-fired oven you’ll make your own butter – the perfect addition to a slice of warm bread. Part of the What’s Cooking? Series.
Allergens used in this class: gluten, dairy.
