The Newport String Project brings their much-anticipated Concert Series to Tiverton Four Corners on December 8th at 3pm at the Meeting House located at 3850 Main Road, Tiverton Four Corners.
The Newport String Project continues its signature Newport County Concert Series on Sunday December 8th 3pm at Four Corners Arts Center in Tiverton.
The program opens with a lesser heard work from Haydn’s set of op. 50 Prussian quartets, the expansive String Quartet in C Major.
The quartet will also perform Tom Morrison’s Sea Change (2018) – a musical evocation of Antarctica and meditation on the impact of climate change.
The centerpiece of the program is Dvořák’s monumental String Quartet in G Major op 106 – a piece overflowing with the joy of his return to his homeland following his stint in America.
This concert coincides with Bright Night Weekend at the Four Corners Arts Center which will be hosting its 11th annual Re-Tree exhibit.
Be sure to check out the festive showcase of re-Trees (imaginatively created by community members from upcycled materials) on the grounds surrounding the Meeting House as part of your concert experience.
