PAWTUCKET FIRST LADY GREBIEN GEARS UP TO DISTRIBUTE 850+ TURKEY BASKETS

PAWTUCKET – First Lady Laureen Grebien announces the upcoming assembling and distribution of 850+ turkey baskets to low-income Pawtucket residents.

These baskets, distributed next Monday, will help these individuals to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families.

What: Over 100 volunteers, from students, adults, members of civic groups, and Pawtucket City employees, will show up to load 12 items per brown box on packing night, seal packages are then delivered the following Monday, including a turkey and traditional items.

Wish Come True has donated 100 turkeys and Fall River-based Gold Medal Bakery donated 900 loafs of bread.

Local businesses, banks, and City residents made donations to purchase food for these baskets.

When: Assembling of turkey boxes will take place Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Distribution will occur on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
