Museum of Work and Culture Seeking Images for Upcoming Exhibit
(WOONSOCKET, R.I.) – The Museum of Work & Culture, a division of the Rhode Island Historical Society, is seeking photos from the community for an upcoming exhibit in the rotating gallery, the Rhode Island Historical Society’s Winter Toy Display. The Rhode Island Historical Society’s Winter Toy Display will be open from December 6, 2024 until February 8, 2025 and will feature vintage toys from the Rhode Island Historical Society’s collection.
As part of this display, the Museum wants to highlight the childhood toys and memories from our community. Do you have a childhood photo with your favorite toy growing up? Or featuring a classic winter activity, like sledding, building a snowman, or ice skating?
If you want to be a part of this upcoming display, visit the Museum of Work and Culture’s website or https://tinyurl.com/2s3rzb5d to submit your digital photo.
The Museum will be accepting digital submissions until December 1, 2024.
If you have a physical photo, you can bring it to the Museum during its Holiday Open House, which will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 10am to 5pm.
Photos that are brought will be scanned, uploaded, and projected following the event for the remainder of the exhibit.
