PAWTUCKET ARTS FESTIVAL

MAYOR’S NOTEBOOK MESSAGE

decades. This festival is more than just a celebration of the arts—it’s a reflection of our community’s spirit, creativity, and diverse cultural heritage.

Throughout the years, we’ve seen this festival grow and evolve, with newer events like Empanada Fest while continuing to honor beloved traditions such as the Dragon Boat Races. It’s incredible to see the journey which has led to the multi-faceted celebration we have today.

I feel a deep sense of pride and nostalgia thinking about the countless memories we’ve made together over the years, and I’m excited to see what this year has in store for all of us.

Supporting the arts in Pawtucket is vital to our community. The arts enrich our lives, bring us together, and provide a platform for us to celebrate the diversity which makes our city great.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been involved in making this year’s festival a success, from the artists and performers to the local businesses and community organizations that have contributed their time and talents. A special thanks goes to the many city staff who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Your dedication is what makes this festival so special.

I look forward to celebrating with you all and making new memories as we come together once again to honor the arts and culture that make Pawtucket such a unique and wonderful place to live.

See you at the festival!

Sincerely,

Donald R. Grebien

Mayor of Pawtucket
