THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET ANNOUNCES THE START OF FALL ROAD PAVING

Mayor Donald R. Grebien announced that the Pawtucket Department of Public Works will begin road repaving for the fall in the coming weeks. Roadways are first milled to remove the top surface of the pavement. Once the top surface of the pavement is removed, the asphalt is laid. There will also be a subsection of paving that is tackling preventative maintenance, including fog spray and crack sealing.
“Our commitment to improving Pawtucket’s infrastructure continues with the fall paving schedule,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “As we move forward with this next phase of road improvements, I want to express my gratitude to our DPW for all of their hard work and also to the residents for their continued patience and support. These efforts are not just about today—they’re investments in a safer and more accessible future for our city.”
Signage will be posted along the streets where work is to be performed. The list below is a planned estimate of all streets to be paved this fall.
We ask that residents and visitors please observe the parking restrictions on their respective streets, so the City can quickly and efficiently conduct the work. Residents are advised that construction may also bring dust and noise, but the temporary inconvenience will create better and safer roads for years to come, while also paving the way for future economic growth.
