Senator Tiara Mack and State Representative Terri Cortvriend to be honored as RI Food Policy Council’s 2024 “Food Policy Changemakers”
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Rhode Island Food Policy Council is honoring two legislators with “Food Policy Changemaker Awards” at the Providence Public Library as part of the organization’s annual Policy Retreat.

WHAT:
A short award presentation on stage. Members of RIFPC will present two legislators RIFPC has identified as champions of RI’s food system. Photo op to follow.

WHY:
Rhode Islanders are becoming increasingly aware of the critical role the food system plays in the overall health and well-being of the state. RIFPC aims to acknowledge and celebrate the good work done by policy influencers (legislators) to advance legislation that creates a more just, equitable, and environmentally sustainable food system in Rhode Island.
