Whitehouse Highlights Record of Listening to Rhode Islanders and Fighting for the Ocean State in First TV Ad of 2024 Reelection
PROVIDENCE, RI – Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is going up on the airwaves with a spot highlighting Sheldon’s love for the Ocean State, and his record of listening to Rhode Islanders and fighting for them in the United States Senate.
“Representing Rhode Island in the Senate means I get to get around Rhode Island. I get to see into all of our communities, into our nooks and crannies. And you just can’t help falling in love with Rhode Island. I love going into the supermarket and having somebody grab me in the aisle and bend my ear on the subject that matters to them,” Sheldon says in the ad.
“I bring to Washington a determination to protect Social Security and Medicare, provide affordable health care, lower costs, and protect abortion rights. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work for Rhode Island and fight for you.”
The 30-second spot was initially on TV during the Olympics opening ceremony.
Whitehouse, a senior member of the Democratic caucus, is seeking Rhode Islanders’ support for a fourth term in the Senate.
