Peter, a graduate of the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA, is an oil painter based in Tiverton, RI.
Dickison was studio assistant to the artist Nell Blaine (1922-1996), whose exuberant spirit for life and painting was a strong influence. As Assistant Teacher for Drawing with the Cleveland Institute of Art in Lacoste, France, he worked with drawing professor Leonard Stokes, taught landscape and figure drawing and painted prolifically in the landscape of Provence.
Dickison’s central intuition is that human activity is framed by nature and that human understanding fabricates the landscape.
Tiffany Peay Jewelry, LTD is located in the enchanting village of Tiverton Four Corners.
Tiverton Four Corners is a community of sophisticated shops, galleries and gourmet eateries. Peter’s artwork complements Tiffany’s handmade one-of-a-kind fine jewelry. Tiffany’s jewelry embodies a light spirit and playful vitality where color, movement and healing are the trademarks.
Tiffany Peay Jewelry is now open daily through September 2024. Peter’s paintings and Tiffany’s jewelry collection are always sales tax exempt.
Peter has exhibited at the Prince Street Gallery in New York City, SUNY Purchase Art Gallery, the Newport Art Museum, Crowell’s Fine Art, Gallery X, Deblois Gallery, Dartmouth Cultural Center & Gallery at Four. He has taught painting, drawing and portraiture at the Newport Art Museum.
