Round the Bend Farm Invites Community to Inaugural ‘Farmraiser’
The Seeds We Sow: RTB’s First Farmraiser set for the first weekend of April
DARTMOUTH– ROUND THE BEND FARM is pleased to announce our inaugural ‘farmraiser’ (farm fundraiser) on April 6, 2024 from 4PM to 8:30PM on-site at 92 Allens Neck Road, South Dartmouth.
Round the Bend Farm, a Center for Restorative Community, is hosting our first ever fundraiser, dubbed ‘The Seeds We Sow: RTB’s First Farmraiser.’ The event aims to raise funds for our three programs: education (field trips, experiential learning), farming, and our partnered, food donation program,
Manifest Love.
While the event is ticketed for over 160 people and nearly sold out, RTB has priced tickets at a rate to increase accessibility to attend. Instead of one ticket price, three are offered at varying tiers: $50 minimum, $75 full cost, and $100 pay-it-forward. The idea is to allow more access to those from different socioeconomic backgrounds, while still being able to cover the non-profit organization’s costs of putting on the event itself. Children are welcome to attend with a flat rate of $20 for those 12-years-old and younger. Tickets are a one stop and shop: costs cover hors d’oeuvres, a farm-fresh local dinner, local beverages, and dessert – with a bonfire and homemade s’mores bar! The ticket also includes an optional tour of the farm, the ability to see the Goatbusters’ goats, and use of a photobooth station donated by Brendan Lafferty of B-Sharp Entertainment. Live music by local harpist, Warren Dahlin, and indie singer/songwriter Hooly J Chan will filter in through the evening.
In addition to meal service, a silent auction with donated items from local businesses has been planned for the evening. Silent auction bidding starts at 4PM and closes at 7PM. A few items up in the line up are: Boston Red Sox vs. Milwaukee Brewers Tickets + Parking donated by Hemenway & Barnes LLP; a free month of musical lessons donated by Double Bar Music; handmade whale wampum earrings donated by local, Wampanoag artist and environmentalist, Elizabeth Perry; and a Local Goodies basket donated by Dartmouth’s own Davoll’s General Store. For those interested in donating an auction item, please contact: madigan@roundthebendfarm.org.
RTB would like to thank Root Setter sponsors for their pledged funds: BayCoast Bank, B-Sharp Entertainment, The Charred Oak Tavern, Civil Engineering Consultants (CEC), Edible Southeastern Massachusetts Magazine, Hemenway & Barnes LLP, Saltonstall Architects, and Twin Focus. We would also like to thank our Seed Sower sponsors: Beveridge & Diamond PC, Fedco Seeds, Johnny’s Luncheonette, New England Energy Concepts Inc., Nicole Kopaczewski Consulting Services, and Tom Corcoran Water Filtration Services.
