Greetings,
In addition to efforts to help create the Attleboro Sustainability Commission, I am also a member of a committee to update the city’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comp Plan is a forward-looking strategic and tactical roadmap for the city, updated every decade. The charge from the mayor was to “think big” as we map out our plans.
Part of the assignment is to reach out to the community in an effort to seek input. Here is your chance to make your voice heard on a variety of directions, including, but not limited to environmental, sustainability, development, housing, economics, education, municipal facilitates, public safety, transportation, and recreation.
Following this informational session there will be break-out focus group discussions. The first Comprehensive Plan public forum, organized by the city’s Planning Department, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the High School’s Zito Meeting Room, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. See the attached flyer that can also be shared with others.
I hope to see and hear you at this session. Afterall, governing in not a spectator’s sport.
