January Happenings @ the APL
Books, movies, games, and SO MUCH MORE. Your library has something for everyone!
A Message from the Director
2023 was a challenging year, but the APL is choosing to look at the successes we had as we look forward to spending 2024 with you. In 2023 we had many well-attended programs on everything from poetry to karaoke. The building just comes alive when you all visit! The Library hosted a variety of performers for the Attleboro Cultural Council and became a part of the city’s TDI partnership, working with neighboring organizations and businesses to improve the quality of life in Attleboro’s downtown.
Staff have been listening to patron requests as they build collections full of the things you want to borrow. Be sure to check out the NEW title displays the next time you visit, and don’t forget to ask about our Library of THINGS.
Is there something you think the library should be offering in the new year? We love to hear your ideas so please, don’t be shy! Be on the lookout for the library’s year-end statistics to find out what the most popular checkouts of 2023 were. This, and other fun facts, will be posted on the APL’s social media pages. You won’t want to miss it!
I do want to close out the year with the most heartfelt thank you to the team that keeps Attleboro’s library running at the highest possible level. The staff, board, Friends, and volunteers who are in and out of this building every day are some of the smartest, funniest, most creative and dedicated people I know, and it is their care and support that makes magic happen here. Happy 2024!
