21st Century Facilities Promote Excellence In Learning
Recently, voters in seven communities approved bonds that will help provide thousands of students across the state with the 21st century learning environments they deserve. These bonds support new elementary schools in Barrington, Cumberland, and East Greenwich; new high schools for Bristol-Warren and Middletown; and modern renovations in Lincoln and Coventry. These public investments will help improve educational outcomes, create jobs, and strengthen our communities. We are excited to work with these districts on the upcoming projects!
Additionally, we joined U.S. Senator Jack Reed in announcing RIDE received a federal grant of over $875,000 as part of the Supporting America’s School Infrastructure Grant Program. With this funding, our School Building Authority (SBA) will be able to assist districts across the state with improving school building conditions and learning spaces for both students and educators. Here at RIDE, we are committed to ensuring all Rhode Island students have modern, safe, and welcoming facilities so they are able to reach their highest potential. When we invest in these improvements and enhancements, we send a clear message to our communities that we care about their experiences and wellbeing. Thank you to Senator Reed for allowing us to continue this important work!

As always, we must remember that welcoming spaces are key in making students feel comfortable in the classroom and are crucial in promoting attendance. Attendance must remain a focus because it is one of the most important factors that can predict educational outcomes. Check out our #AttendanceMattersRI resources on our website.
