WCCA TV Special Presentations

This WCCA TV Special Presentation highlights the Belmont Street Community School Stem Lab and School Beautification Project. AbbVie Pharmaceutical Company employees recently spent a day volunteering to help with improvements at the Belmont Street Community School.

This WCCA TV Special Presentation, recorded by WCCA intern Ken Carlson, highlights the LGBTQ Protest against a catholic school policy that the LGBTQ Community felt was intolerant of LGTBQ students. The protest was held to support those identifying with the LGBTQ Community.

Host of The Chandler Chat, former state senator Harriette Chandler, invites to the show Amanda Wittman, the Director of the John J. Binienda Center for Civic Engagement at Worcester State University, to discuss their student volunteer-based programs that help provide meaningful civic engagement and education. In another episode, Ms. Chandler interviews a group of students and staff from the Nativity School of Worcester. Founded in 2003, Nativity School of Worcester is the only tuition-free private middle school in Central Massachusetts. At 20 years, the school is undertaking a historic endeavor and launch of an ambitious $20 million campaign aimed at establishing a Girls Division, ensuring that young women can receive a transformative Jesuit education. This Campaign will establish the first tuition-free private school for girls in Central Massachusetts. Exclusively on WCCA TV 194 in Worcester!

Tune in to Rosen’s Roundtable hosted by former City Councilor Gary Rosen and produced by WCCA TV. Gary and his panel members discuss the highly contested races for Worcester Mayor, At-Large and District City Council. Since a few present incumbents have strong challengers, the panel encourages all registered voters to do their civic duty by voting on November 7. In another episode, Gary and his panel of Matt Wally and Mark Henderson interview Maureen Binienda, former South High School principal and former Superintendent of Worcester Public Schools, who is now running for the Worcester School Committee.

This is Worcester is a WCCA TV program hosted by community activist Bill Coleman. Bill welcomes Robert Bilotta, Candidate for Worcester City Council, District 2. In another episode, Bill interviews Dianna Biancheria, Candidate for Worcester School Committee. Bill also chats with Maydee Morales, Candidate for Worcester City Council At-Large. Close to Home is a WCCA TV program about people and situations that demonstrate deep respect for mankind. Host Maureen Schwab interviews Michael Boover of the the Mustard Seed Catholic Worker of Worcester, to discuss the important charitable work that the faith-based organization has done in its 50-year history to address poverty, hunger, homelessness, addiction and loneliness in our community.

On this new episode of Perspectives, host Asima Silva invites Dr. Yaser Najjar — a retired professor and Palestinian American who came to the US in 1982 — to discuss the now 75-year long Israel/Palestine conflict that has been reignited in recent weeks, and to provide some crucial context from the Palestinian perspective.

Activate Worcester is a WCCA TV program that shows viewers how to participate and become active politically in Worcester. Host Ron Motta welcomes back Jay Givan, Political Commentator, to discuss the November 7 Elections.

Connecting the Dots is a non-traditional legal program hosted by attorney Liz Myska and produced by WCCA TV. Liz invites Mimi Sheller, Dean of the Global School at WPI, to discuss the research that has been done on Mobility Justice.

What It’s Worth is a WCCA TV show definitely worth watching! Host Tommy Colletta interviews Dianna Biancheria, School Committee Candidate. In another episode, Tom welcomes back Professional Chef, Zachary Wentzell.

Health Matters is a program from the Worcester District Medical Society, produced by WCCA TV. Host Dr. Michael Hirsh welcomes Linda Johnson and Steven Shiner, CPCU, to discuss the Safety Quest Program. In another episode, Dr. Hirsh invites Mark Zonfrillo, MD, to discuss Social Media Challenges.

Tune in to a new episode of Hidden Treasures. Host Bill Safer helps you learn how to find that hidden antique or collectible that just may add cash to your life. In this episode, Bill welcomes back Linda Kotsopoulos, the owner of Nu-Tiques At The Barn, to talk about her business and showcase some of the antique items she sells at her store.

Human Touch is a WCCA TV program that spotlights refugees and their stories, struggles, and triumphs in order to bring about understanding and change. Host Augustine Kanjia discusses the unfortunate aftermath of many democratic elections in West African countries, with governments falling prey to corruption, nepotism, and sectarianism that can often lead to violence.

On this episode of Tech Safe, host Cecelia Doucette interviews Leonore Alaniz, a safe tech activist based in Montague Massachusetts, to discuss the debilitating effects of EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) exposure, from impaired mental health including headaches, depression and insomnia, to a range of physical and physiological side effects. On another episode, Cecelia interviews Massachusetts State Senator Michael Moore, of the Second Worcester district, to discuss what the state legislature is doing to inform and safeguard consumers, protecting the environment from the side effects of wireless radiation through common-sense regulation and investigating the risks via independent, non-profit research that isn’t beholden to big tech.

They discuss his 10-year history on the City Council, and how his experience will best serve constituents if re-elected on November 7th.
