An update on Bears football and our fundraiser
Hi Guys,
This past Saturday we played a very good UMass Dartmouth team and lost 34-14 at Home. For those of you that attended the game in person or watched it on your computer, thank you for the support. Despite UMD’s size and speed our kids fought very hard and rallied back from a 20-0 halftime deficit to close withing 6 points (20-14) with 13 minutes in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately, UMD converted on a crucial 4th down to close the game out.
The loss puts us at 5-1 in the conference with a crucial game this Saturday against our rival Framingham State at Bowditch Field. Framingham has one of the best backs in the league, and with a mobile QB and a good defense they will be a big challenge for our team. We thank you for your support and hope to see you at the game.
Also, thanks for the donations to the Crimson Pride Challenge! As of today, we are at just over $5000.00. We still have a ways to go to meet our $10,000 goal with a week and a half left, but we are plugging away.
Thank you again for all your support,
Coach Verria
