Smithfield adds Inclusion and Accessibility Table at Deerfield Park
SMITHFIELD – Smithfield Town Manager Randy Rossi has announced that the Town was awarded one of four inclusion and accessibility tables, known as Tina’s Tables, to be located in C. The tables were made possible through a grant from Real Access Motivates Progress or R.A.M.P.
The tables were designed by RAMP President Tina Pedersen and manufactured by the Steel Yard in Providence. Tina’s Tables combine seating and room for wheelchair users to gather at one table.
Rossi said that adding an accessibility and inclusion table further compliments Deerfield Park and reinforces the fact that the park is available for everyone to enjoy.
The Manager invites the public to a ribbon cutting and celebration for the installation of the new table at the Deerfield soccer field pavilion and concession stand on Thursday, September 14th at 3:00 PM.
