plus works by Graupner and Fasch Come celebrate the start of the concert season with joyous works from Germany – music of the finalists of the Cantor search in Leipzig in 1723, when Bach was hired for his last and longest position.
Telemann’s exciting Concerto in D major for solo violin and trumpet opens the concert. Enjoy the pyrotechnics of soprano and trumpet with our orchestra in Bach’s Cantata 51: Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen
Now, more than ever, we value the joy that live performance brings, and in particular want to thank the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts for ongoing support to make these concerts a possibility, and keeping our local musicians employed!
Your own generous donations will help keep the music playing.
Thank you and see you at the concerts! L. Frederick Jodry V
