The Four Corner Arts Center invites you to wander through the oasis that is The 29thAnnual Outdoor Sculpture Park Exhibition featuring installations by visiting artist, Casey Figueroa as well as sculptures from the permanent collection.
The Artist Reception for “Hybrid Objects” will be August 19th from 2-4 PM at the Meeting House 3850 Main Road, Tiverton. Casey Figueroawill offer a brief talk and tour at 2:30PM. The rain date is August 20th from 2-4PM.
Casey Figueroa is a multi-disciplinary artist focused on exploring light and color in various forms of expression.
Drawing on a diverse set of influences, ranging from stained glass, street art, and Indigenous methodologies.
Casey recently graduated Montana State University with an MFA in Studio Arts, and an MA in Native American studies.
Having returned to Plymouth, MA post graduation, Casey has been focused on supporting the arts community locally.
He has been presenting:
multiple iterations of Hybrid Objects, a large-scale temporary installation, curating Indigenous Art exhibits for the
Plymouth Center for the Arts, creating new work for the several solo shows planned for the year, and most recently having
been accepted into a VR certificate program, to continue building his toolbox of techniques and mediums.
Casey is known for his bold, colorful works, diverse body of work, and insightful observation. Operating from a formalist standpoint.
Casey focus on the material qualities of the various mediums he utilizes in order to re-contextualize and expand expression.
In addition to his work creating art, Casey also has made it part of his professional mission to create opportunities for local Indigenous artists to share their work with the fine art world.
