PAWTUCKET ARTS COLLABORATIVE
CALL FOR ART- STILL LIFE deadline 9/1 $500 top prize!
CALLING LOCAL ARTISTS! ALL MEDIUMS! WORK ACCEPTED THRU 9/1/23
A STILL LIFE is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which are either natural or human-made.
But a STILL LIFE can be so much more than that. It is art and spaces without people. It is a study of objects that surround people, it is the food we eat, the things we decorate with, all the things we touch and see.
It is everything around us that isn’t us.
A STILL LIFE can also be interpreted figuratively, a moment of pause, a lack of action or excitement, or being frozen in time. For PAC’s fall show with guest juror, Judy Vilmain, we invite local artists to bring fresh perspectives of what a STILL LIFE truly is.
All mediums welcome.
This is a juried show with submissions open to the public.
All are welcome to submit up to two pieces.
The juror will select the works that will appear in the show.
The juror will also select three winners: $500 Top Prize, $250 second, and $100 third prize.
STILL LIFE Opens: 9/28/23 5:30-7:30 with live music and refreshments. Winners will be announced by guest juror Judy Vilmain at 6:45. Free and Open to the Public.
Show Closes: 10/29/23.
