JIM MC GOVERN: MEMBER OF CONGRESS

WE CAN HELP ALOT WITH YOUR FAMILY TRIP TO WASHINGTON

Hello Neighbors and Friends,

Did you know that as your representative in Congress, I can help you plan a trip to Washington D.C. and assist you during your visit?

Let Our Office Help You Visit:

The White House

The Capitol Building

The Library of Congress

The FBI Building

I still remember my first trip to Washington—seeing the National Mall for the first time and being in awe of the rich history and incredible architecture our nation’s capital has to offer. From the White House and the Capitol Building to the National Zoo and the Smithsonian museums, you’ll get to see your government at work, learn about our past, and find out how you can be a part of shaping our future.

My team and I can help you request tickets to many sights in Washington, including the White House, the Capitol Building, and the FBI Building. This process, reserved exclusively for those living in the Second District, provides special access to these engaging sites.

Please note that tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and often book up months in advance. We’ll try our best to secure tickets during your visit, but if we’re unable, many of these locations also offer public tours. More information can be accessed through their individual websites.

During your visit, you might also consider seeing other points-of-interest like the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument.

And if you’re able to make the trip, I hope you can stop by my congressional office in Room 370 of the Cannon House Office Building. My team will be happy to welcome you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you require any assistance on this or another issue. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy spring!

Summer is peak tourism season in D.C., so prepare for hot weather, large crowds, and long waits. My best piece of advice is to request tickets as early as possible and to have flexibility in your travel plans. Once you’re in D.C., it’s easy to get around walking, using the Metro (subway), or even renting a bike or electric scooter.
