FEATURED ARTIST THIS MONTH
Karen experiences painting as an expression of all she loves…. an expression of her soul. She is inspired to capture the feeling she has when painting.
Karen is a supervisor of a hospital lab and yoga teacher. Karen balances her career with her love of art. She has been a watercolor artist for many years but recently found pastels to be an exciting medium which provides brilliant color, vibrancy, and texture.
She has studied with both local artists as well as famous artists around the country. Her love for travel has also provided her with the opportunity to study art in Italy and France.
She is a member of Fearless Artists RI, South Coast Artists, Pastel Painters of Cape Cod, Rhode Island Watercolor Society, to name a few.
Some of her paintings are part of a collection in the Hudner Oncology Center and the Emergency Room at St Anne’s Hospital. The hospital felt that her paintings would provide patients and family with a sense of calm and solace.
