Long-term leader Deborah L. Perry will step down effective July 31, 2023, in pursuit of a new opportunity

YWCA Rhode Island Board of Directors seeks a Chief Executive Officer to continue building upon the remarkable 155-year history, impact, and influence of YWCA Rhode Island.
The Chief Executive Officer is an experienced nonprofit leader who will advocate successfully and passionately on behalf of the YWCA, our mission, and the individuals and communities we serve.
The Chief Executive Officer must be a hands-on leader and role model; a strategic, analytical, and out-of-the box thinker; an effective and courageous head-on problem solver with a can-do-attitude, and someone who responds to challenges with sound, consistent and fair judgment.
The Chief Executive Officer is also a collaborative and communicative leader who can successfully motivate and inspire team and board members, as well as a wide range of constituents, supporters, and community members.

Throughout our 155-year history, YWCA Rhode Island has focused its efforts in creating a more inclusive and just Rhode Island and has advocated on behalf of the most structurally disenfranchised people in our society including low-wage workers, the unemployed and the unhoused, women and girls, communities of color, English language learners, immigrants, survivors of violence, members of the LGBTQ community, as well as current military service members and veterans.
