NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF HIGHER EDUCATION
—John O. Harney
Really Going Now … It’s Been a Pleasure
It’s packing up the office that makes it feel final … the old, printed editions of Connection and NEJHE, spare neckties for unexpected meetings, manila folders labeled with topics ranging from “Management Education” to “Enrollment Management” and “Campus Climate Surveys” to “Climate Change,” plus rubber-banded stacks of business cards, several Chinese takeout menus, family photos and everything that nourished me for 30-plus years at 45 Temple Place.
In the fall, I wrote that I would be retiring from the New England Board of Higher Education and the editorship of The New England Journal of Higher Education in early January 2023.
Now, that time has arrived. I’ll dearly miss our community of readers, authors and other contributors. I plan to continue doing some writing and editing. And I hope our paths will cross.
