Thank you to all who made the first Republican Town Committee Holiday Open House a warm and chatty event. I hope you made some new connections and renewed others with people who share a common vision for Freedom, Prosperity, and Integrity.
In hopes to continue this fellowship and join the mission to have our government represent our values and basic needs, I invite you all to participate in social gatherings, meetings, committees, and activism as you choose to best reflect your needs and abilities.
Rockport Republican Town Committee will hold its first event of the New Year on Saturday January 28 with a coffee hour from 9-10am and committee meeting from 10 to noon at the Rockport Police Department Community Room.
We again invite the Cape Ann GOP committee Chairs and interested community members to attend. During the social hour, our theme will be Bring a Friend to the Party, and we’ll help anyone who is aligned with conservative values and currently Unenrolled, Democrat or Libertarian to change their registration to Republican.
As a newbie Republican, I want to let you know that it is our shared values and vision of needed change that unites us. If you are not a registered Republican but think that you want to take action or support conservative policies and candidates, please attend and see if the fit seems right to you.
You can also contact the Chair of your City or Town Committee (this info reflects the attendance at the Open House)

We have a lot of work to do in 2023 to prepare for the 2024 election. We need to:
register more Republicans, including young voters and Independents and Democrats who are ready to make a change.
reach out to Republicans (and others with shared values) who are not politically active and encourage them to join us
increase participation as poll workers and poll observers
investigate voting irregularities in our communities and create an action plan to address problem areas
consider legal ways to increase our voter turn out
support conservative candidates with volunteer efforts and donations
fundraise so we can financially support where most needed
In the meantime, here are some important things to follow and consider participating in:
The National RNC is holding elections for Chair on January 22. Ronna McDaniel, Chair since 2015, is being challenged by Harmeet Dhillon and Mike Lindell who suggest change is needed to have electoral success.
Jim Lyons, MA GOP Chair will be speaking across the State on the issues that are sabotaging the Republicans in MA as well as a vision to move forward (no North Shore venues yet, but I can keep you updated):

Lenny Mirra is challenging his recount loss (by one vote!) in 2nd Essex. His 100-vote victory on election night dwindled to just ten votes following a massive number of last-minute ballots arriving in the mail. His opponent called for a recount and Democrats found a way to find eleven votes, allowing her to win the race by just one vote! There were dozens of contested ballots challenged during the recount along with dozens of additional ballots showing up that were not present during the election and the battle now goes to court.
