Dear Friends,
I am writing to you today to ask for your support, as I enter my 17th year as artistic director here at Trinity Rep. The thematic focus of our season this year has been on legacies – what we leave behind for those that follow us. What makes such stories about legacy so compelling is that they feature people who make the choice to engage with their world, and thereby make a difference.
For Eric Glass in The Inheritance, it is the moment that he chooses community over his own comfort that changes his life forever. For Ebenezer Scrooge, caring for others alters the dark future presented by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and saves the life of Tiny Tim. In all of our upcoming productions this spring, there is an identifiable moment when the choice is made that shapes the future and decides the legacy each character will leave behind.
Today, I am asking you to make such a choice: to support Trinity Rep.
With your financial support, we can continue to make the bold artistic choices you’ve come to expect from Trinity Rep and that set us apart from other theaters in New England and across the country. I invite you to make a gift before the end of the year, which will help us continue to serve our community and generations of audiences through artistic excellence. Together, we will continue the dialogue that makes theater such a unique and moving art form, and Trinity Rep your home for dramatic discoveries.
Curt Columbus, Artistic Director
