Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed Coat Drive
Good Afternoon
Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed will be taking part in the Annual Buy Nothing Day Coat Exchange at the first ever Massachusetts distribution site.
Over the course of the last several years, we have noticed an alarming increase in tent cities in our area woods and along our rivers that we have been cleaning up.
Seeing this, we realize that there are many people who are struggling to stay warm in the cold weather months, so we have decided to take action and do our part to help out. This is a very involved event and we are looking for help in a few areas.
Donations- we are currently accepting new and gently used coats and other items that people want to donate. If you would like to donate something, please call Ben at 401-578-2746 and we can arrange that.
We will be taking donations until 11/23/2022.
The Event- we will need volunteers to help hand these items out at our actual event.
This will take place on Black Friday, 11/25 at the south end of the Seabra Plaza on South Main Street in Attleboro.
We will be handing out items from 9-12 and will be setting up at 8:30. Coffee will be provided to all volunteers and any visitors that we have.
Please consider helping us out for a few hours for this important cause. Please call Ben at 401-578-2746 to register.
Getting the word out- please help us spread the word that this is taking place.
Ask your friends and neighbors if they have anything that they can donate or if they might need something, please have them come and pick it up.
