Rhode Island Invests in 21^st Century Learning Environments 

 

Recently, RIDE joined state and local leaders, students, and educators at Stephen Olney Elementary School in North Providence to announce the 21^st Century Technology and Equipment Fund!

 

The initiative will infuse $15 million in state dollars directly into classrooms to support and enhance teaching and learning.

 

Local education agencies will be eligible on a per-student basis, with a minimum award of $25,000.

 

The initiative will provide innovative technology and equipment that foster a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) project-based learning approach and career and technical education (CTE) pathways to ensure all students have access to high-quality learning spaces. 

 

From collaborative desks to digital interactive smartboards, the fund will offer an immediate transformation for thousands of Rhode Island students and educators.
