October is National Children’s Health month. Children are often more vulnerable to pollutants than adults due to differences in behavior and biology, that can lead to greater exposure and/or unique windows of susceptibility during development.
EPA’s Office of Children’s Health Protection was established by executive order in 1997, and to this day continues to build on the excellent progress made to confront issues and provide solutions to children’s environmental health.
