Representatives secure grant check for Substance Use Mental Health Leadership Council

STATE HOUSE – Members of the House of Representatives today presented a legislative grant totaling $10,000 to the Substance Use Mental Health Leadership Council to be used for operation costs, addressing funding shortfalls that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Representatives Robert E. Craven (D-Dist. 32, North Kingstown), Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter), Gregory J. Costantino (D-Dist. 44, Lincoln, Smithfield, Johnston), Jacquelyn Baginski (D-Dist. 17, Cranston) and Bernard A. Hawkins (D-Dist. 53, Smithfield, Glocester) were responsible for sponsoring and securing the grant.
The mission of the Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI is to promote a collaborative, coordinated system of high quality, comprehensive community-based mental health and substance use prevention and treatment services.
