Dear Neighbor,

I hope this email finds you in good health and spirits as we enter the summer months. Keeping residents safe and healthy is one of my top priorities, which is why I am reaching out with new information about the availability of COVID-19 vaccines for children under five and a reminder about the availability of free test kits.

Vaccines are now available for kids under five years old here in Rhode Island. All eligible Rhode Island residents can get vaccinated through primary care offices, test-to-treat programs, pharmacies, clinics, and urgent care facilities. Children between the ages of six months to five years old can receive their vaccine through their pediatrician’s office, local hospitals, or through our partners like Clinic Esperanza or Providence Community Health Centers.

Troughout this pandemic, medical experts have reminded us of the importance of getting vaccinated, and this continues to be a top priority. As we approach warmer weather and summer gatherings, let’s do our part to ensure that we are keeping each other safe. If you or someone in your family is unvaccinated or needs a booster shot, I highly encourage you to reach out to one of the above mentioned locations or call my office by dialing 3-1-1.

The Mayor’s Center for City Services will be happy to assist you in booking an appointment or provide you free COVID-19 test kits. If you need a free test kit or help with an appointment, please dial 3-1-1 to speak with a Mayor’s Center for City Services Representative who can help you in English or Spanish. Together, we can have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Sincerely,

Jorge O. Elorza
