SNEP: OPPORTUNITIES STILL AVAILABLE

Hello SNEP Community,

We are sending this special reminder for several exciting SNEP opportunities still available over the next few months.

On May 18, EPA-SNEP is hosting its 2022 Virtual Symposium, Science Bringing Solutions: Delivering Environmental Improvement to Southeastern Coastal New England. Registration and attendance to this virtual event is free and open to the public. To register for the event or to learn more, please visit the Symposium website. An agenda will be announced soon. If you’ve already submitted a presentation proposal, decisions will be announced on 4/13.
SNEP is still accepting submissions for virtual poster presentations. If you or someone you know might be interested in presenting their poster during the Symposium, we encourage them to submit an abstract proposal using the submission form on the Symposium website.

The SNEP Watershed Implementation Grants (SWIG) program is in its final weeks of accepting submissions to its 2022 Request for Proposals (SWIG22). The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) is April 26, 2022, at 4 p.m.

This year, SWIG, in partnership with Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE), will award up to $1.85 million in competitive grant funding to projects, programs, and partnerships that restore coastal and watershed ecosystems throughout Southeast New England. Typical awards will range from $100,000 to $350,000. RAE will consider grants up to $500,000 for projects of exceptional impact and will fund smaller grants for specific purposes. SWIG22 will fund projects that support the vision, goals and priority actions outlined in the SNEP Strategic Plan

All grants will be awarded within the geographic region of Southeast New England, which includes all of Rhode Island and most of Southeastern Massachusetts, including the Narragansett Bay watershed, Buzzards Bay watershed, much of Cape Cod and the region’s offshore and inshore islands.
