Executive Express-O is facilitated by URCC Board Member and owner of the Business Solutions Advisory Group Charlie Miller.

This month’s subject is about new client prospecting. Thank you URCC Board Member Zach Patten of member Oak Grove Insurance for the suggestion and the thought-provoking questions.

New Client Prospecting

How do you determine which businesses to prospect?

Who is responsible for prospecting for new clients? You? A dedicated salesperson?

Do you utilize a virtual assistant and/or an appointment setter?

How much time a week do you/your business dedicate to prospecting and following up on prospects?

What’s the first communication your business has with a potential client? Cold call? Introductory email? Drop-in? Marketing material?

When prospecting, does your business utilize a script and/or sales track?

Do you track the progression of a prospect? How? Do you utilize a CRM? (Customer Relationship Management System)

How does your business stay engaged with potential clients? Drip email? Marketing sequence? Social Media? Text? Phone call? Drop-in?

How has COVID impacted prospecting? Are there prospecting activities you have been avoiding due to COVID, but plan to do when businesses open back up to face-to-face interactions?

Is there any one resource that has had a significant impact on how you approach prospecting? For example: book, training, seminar, or coach.

If you could provide a younger version of yourself with one piece of advice around B2B prospecting, what would it be?

What could, or should, your business change about how it prospects for new clients?

We look forward to seeing you on April 1. Please pass this invitation along to anyone you may know who might be interested in joining the discussion.
