TASTE OF THE TOWN
PRESENTED BY THE SEEKONK LIONS CLUB
For 24 years the Kiwanis Club of Greater Seekonk hosted the Taste of the Town. The Kiwanis have decided to stop promoting this event, allowing us the Seekonk Lions Club, through our Seekonk Lions Charitable Trust, a 501(c) organization, to continue this community event. We thank the Kiwanis for this opportunity and the great work they do.
The Seekonk Lions Club is the oldest Philanthropic organization in Seekonk, originally
Chartered in June 1958. As part of Lions International, we work to eradicate Blindness, Diabetes, and Hearing deficiencies.
For decades we have locally provided, High School Scholarships, funds for Schools, Public Safety, Senior Citizens, Doorways, and the community at large; also catastrophic state and national events.
As the new promoters of year 25 of the Taste of the Town, we look to continue this great event with a new location and date. We have secured the Ballroom at Won Sports, 1314 Fall River Ave., Seekonk, MA.,(former Top of the Court), for Monday, April 18th, (Patriot’s Day)from 5-8pm.
We will have an appearance by the N.E. Patriot Cheerleaders.
Our admission price is $30, which will provide tasting the fare of great restaurants in Seekonk and surrounding communities. Wine, Beer and Spirits will be offered by legendary Mixologist Chris Gasbarro; also great raffle items!
Advance ticket purchases are available by contacting events@chrisgasbarro.com, or purchased at the door on the day of the event.
Please plan to join us. Thank-you.
