FEBRUARY THEMED TOURS AT LINDEN PLACE

Linden Place Mansion to offer special theme docent-led tours in February

Choose a Valentine Day themed tour with stories of love arranged, love lost, love eternal, or during school vacation week, mark President’s Day and learn about Presidential visits to Linden Place, with a special ticket price for students and teachers.

Wednesday, February 9, 11 am and 6 pm

In February our hearts turn to love and our minds to spring.  Choose the time that works for you, and then join us at Linden Place for a one-hour docent-led tour of the mansion.  As we share the 200-year-old history of the mansion, we’ll weave in the stories of Abigail, and Charlotte, and Rosalie, and Theodora—love arranged, love found, love lost, love unrequited.  Sprinkled through the narrative will be a little insight into the secret language of flowers during the Victoria era.  Beware the hydrangea!

Life is short—eat dessert first— so we’ll offer a few sweet treats before the tour begins.  Then, perhaps, you’ll head out to lunch or dinner at one of Bristol’s fine restaurants with that someone special in your life.  Tickets are $12 adults, $10 seniors/students and free for Linden Place members.

Tuesday, February 22, 4 pm and 6 pm

Over the course of its 200 plus year history, four U.S. Presidents visited Linden Place.  Join one of these two docent-led tours to hear the rest of the story about James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant and Chester Arthur.

To honor the work of our community educators and the accomplishments of their pupils, we are offering students of any age and teachers a special $5 rate. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 seniors, free for Linden Place Members and a special one-time discounted rate of $5 for students of any age and for teachers.

Linden Place is grateful for the diligence of our Rhode Island community members and citizens in fighting the spread of Covid by not only masking, but also by vaccinating. We are committed to protecting our staff, our volunteers, our patrons and our audiences. To support those shared goals, wearing a mask while visiting Linden Place has been our standard policy.  In addition to that, we also require that all visitors over the age of five years old who are visiting the museum or attending a Linden Place-sponsored event on our grounds show proof of vaccination.
