RIMA: WORKPLACE ROBOTICS AND 3-D PRINTING

RIMA to Host Dual Topic Workshop on Workplace Robotics and 3-D Printing

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA) will host a workshop at the Providence Marriott on March 15, 2022, at 7:30AM.

This event will focus on topics to demonstrate the ways manufacturers “think outside of the box” with the use of recent efficiency-increasing technologies.

Each session will last approximately 30-minutes.

The first section of the workshop is entitled Collaborative Robots, and is presented by Axis New England. As one of the largest automation technology centers in the country, Axis New England will answer questions such as “What are Collaborative Robots?” and detail how this new technology is changing the manufacturing industry.

Additionally, the presentation will offer solutions to allow seamless integration for the use of Collaborative Robots into daily functions; how the technology adds value to processes; and creates a safer workplace facility.

The second section of the workshop is presented by R&D Technologies, a certified partner and reseller of Stratasys 3-D printers and materials.

The professionals at R&D Technologies will provide an overview of the opportunities available with 3-D printing to enhance operations through these innovative systems. New technology in 3-D printing has created an advancement in manufacturer’s operations and users keep one step ahead of their competition.

This workshop will be held at the Providence Marriott Downtown on 1 Orms Street in Providence, RI.

Cost: Free for Members and $25 for Non-Members.
