I wanted to personally wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season as we approach such a special time of year.
I love spending the holidays in Rhode Island with my family. So much of our state is decorated beautifully — from the light show at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, to the Newport Mansions, to the lobster pot tree on Block Island!
We are blessed to have many ways to safely enjoy this festive time with our loved ones!
In a year that has been so hard for so many of us, these next few days it’s important to take time to be mindful and focus on that which brings us joy and grace.
For me, it’ll be cajoling my kids to help me prepare Christmas dishes — roast pork, brussel sprouts, rice and beans, flan, and roasted chestnuts.
I look forward to going to mass with the family and being grateful for our health and each other.
And I can’t wait to watch the kids open presents on Christmas morning.
