Linden Place Mansion’s exciting line-up of fall events is packed with everything from engaging speakers to artisan markets, concerts to classes. Make your way to the mansion this November and stay busy with all we have to offer!

 

A Mostly French Conversation Among Friends By The Essex Piano Trio

 

On November 21, at 2 p.m., the Essex Piano Trio will perform in the ballroom of Linden Place Mansion. This “Mostly French Conversation among Friends” program will be presented in Essex Piano Trio’s characteristic audience-friendly format, which involves interesting music interspersed with casual commentary designed to actively involve audience members in the performance. This lighthearted but elegant program, perfect for a fall afternoon, includes the work of well-known and less recognized works by male and female French composers. The concert is at 2 p.m. and is handicap accessible. Social distancing will be practiced, and masks are required for those in attendance. Admission is $20, $15 for members and free for Colt Circle members. Reservations are recommended, as space is limited.

 

Thanksgiving Centerpiece Floral Arrangement Class with Julie Christina

 

Create your own professional-grade centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table! Expert floral designer, Julie Christina, will guide you through the techniques of creating a beautiful autumnal floral centerpiece for your holiday celebration. Refreshments will be provided. A great evening out with friends before the hectic holiday season begins!

The class takes place on Tuesday, November 23 from 6pm-8pm fireside in the Linden Place ballroom. Fee is $75 and $70 for Linden Place members and includes all materials. Class is limited to 10 participants so reserve your spot early!

 

Holiday Tours of Linden Place Mansion

 

A towering Christmas tree framed by a four-story spiral staircase, elegant decorations on every mantle and in every nook and cranny, original artwork by top local artists…these are just a few of the many delights that await you this Christmas season at Linden Place Mansion.  The mansion’s parlors, bedrooms, and magnificent chapel-like Gothic conservatory are magnificently transformed for your enjoyment. The mansion opens for the holiday season on Friday, November 26 and self-guided tours are available Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12, $10 for seniors and students, $5 for children and free for kids under 12. Don’t forget to visit Linden Place’s Museum Shop which is stocked with wonderful hostess gifts and a broad range of Rhode Island history books as well as an extensive collection of gifts for all ages and styles.
