One of our Habitat families was struggling. She is a single mother of two and her abusive husband was incarcerated. As a result of hard times, she was evicted from her apartment with her two young children.
She spent time living with friends, but also experienced multiple nights where she and her kids lived in and slept in her car. She had a job and applied for a Habitat Home.
She went through the process, the build and moved into her Habitat home 3 days before Thanksgiving where they ate their holiday dinner at a card table with three fold up chairs.
We have built 8 homes in Attleboro, Mansfield, Norton, Norfolk, Plainville, and Seekonk.
We are hoping to start out next build in 2022!
