RIMA WORKSHOP DECEMBER 2 AT 7:30 A.M.

RIMA to Host Multi-Topic Workshop Event on Energy, Transportation and OSHA Regulations SMITHFIELD, RI –   

The Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA) will be hosting a workshop at the Providence Marriott on December 2nd, 2021 at 7:30AM. This event will have a combination of three differentworkshop topics that will cover important issues relating to business operations and employee relations.

 

These sessions will run approximately 30-minutes each. The first session will be focused on energy solutions, where attendees will learn how to better understand their company’s energy costs and how to save on their electric and gas bill. This session will be presented by Fred Raheb of EG Power Company LLC. The following session will educate attendees about the various programs that the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) offers to businesses to eliminate workers transportation issues.

 

This session will be presented by Erminio Conte of RIPTA, where he will discuss their “Have Jobs Will Travel” program. The programs discussed in this session will be eye opening on how employers can help their workers solve commuting issues while also saving them on transportation costs. The final session will be presented by Ed Conway from Federal OSHA. He will review new workplace regulations relative to COVID-19 and their impact on businesses who employ more than 100.

 

He will additionally speak about the impact as a Tier 2 or 3 supplier doing work on federal contracts noted by the Simplified Acquisition Threshold.

 

This workshop will be held at the Providence Marriott Downtown on 1 Orms Street in Providence, RI. Cost: Free for Members and $25 for Non-Members.
