Central Falls Police Officers get scruffy for charity
As we continue “No-Shave” November, I wanted to pass along this meaningful story and fundraiser.
With the green light from Police Chief Anthony Roberson, Central Falls Police Officers are ditching their razors and raising funds to support The Hero Package Foundation, a local organization founded by a police officer that sends “hero” care packages to children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The officers launched a GoFundMe and wrote: “Grow it. Show it. Support children with cancer and their families. We are growing facial hair for charity!!!”
Per the GoFundMe, all donations raised will be matched by their union and given to the Hero Package Foundation as well.
