CLEAN-UP – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2
Location: Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve
577B Wilmarth Street
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Tasks may include:
— Trimming overhanging branches along trails
— Trimming tall grass from some areas
— Weeding areas in preparation for planting of daffodil bulbs
— Removing invasive plants
— Installing sign posts
Tools needed may include:
— Shovels
— Standard rakes and leaf rakes
— Loppers, pruning shears, pruning saws, and other pruning tools
— String trimmers, weed whackers, brush cutters, lawn mower
— Trowels and any weeding tools
We will have some tools, but please bring what you have.
Dress accordingly for protection against poison ivy and ticks. Insect repellent will be supplied. Please bring your own:
— Work gloves
— Water
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you have not been vaccinated for Covid, we ask that you wear a mask and maintain a 6-foot distance from others. If you are fully vaccinated, you may want to wear a mask when less than 6 feet from others, as an extra precaution.
