17th Annual RI Troopers Association Clays Shoot to benefit Special Olympics Rhode Island
DATE: Sunday, September 26, 2021
WHERE: Preserve Sporting Club & Residences
87 Kingstown Rd., Richmond, RI
EVENT INFO: For the past 17 years the Rhode Island Troopers Association has hosted a fun day of Sporting Clay Shooting and Steak Fry, raising money for the over 4,000 athletes that train and compete in Special Olympics Rhode Island.
This is the 2nd year that the tournament has sold out with 220 shooters!
All proceeds from the shoot will ensure that our athletes have the opportunity to get back on the field, court or in the pool, to train and compete in their favorite sport, when it is safe to do so. Special Olympics Rhode Island athletes who will be participating at the 2022 USA Games in Orlando will be there to thank everyone for their support of our organization.
FEATURED GUEST: Vincent Hancock, Olympic Gold Medal winner in Men’s Skeet Shooting in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing; 2012 Olympics in London and 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
He is the first skeet shooter to repeat as an Olympic Champion. He is also a 5 time World Champion and 13 time World Club Champion. His appearance at the 17th Annual Clays Shoot is courtesy of Vistas, the largest outdoor brand purveyor in the world.
EVENT HOSTS: Preserve Sporting Club & Residences; The Sporting Range Retail Shoppe, The Rhode Island Troopers Association and Special Olympics Rhode Island.
