NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
As our fiscal year comes to a close on August 31, we’d like to reflect on some of our proudest accomplishments throughout our organization in this far from normal year, and this week we are proud to highlight the strides made by our beloved FBP School , all made possible by you , our generous patrons.
Students were able to return to hybrid in-person and virtual instruction in the fall, allowing the important training and benefits to resume.
The traditional Culmination performance was held live at FBP’s outdoor stage. All of the students dancing were radiant, performing for a sold-out audience for the first time since the onset of the pandemic.
We are continuously examining and realigning policies and practices to ensure the school offers the most welcoming and accessible environment. Updates include bilingual marketing, inclusive uniform policies, and offering nonwestern dance forms.
The family of former FBP School teacher Derrick Jerrell Davispartnered with FBP School in establishing a transformative new scholarship program in Derrick’s memory, providing tuition assistance for promising dance students of color with a mission to expand diversity within the classical and modern dance community.
Without the generous support of donors and patrons, these accomplishments would not have been possible. Thank you to everyone who made this year a success!
Our season playbill acknowledges gifts to any campaign made between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021 , so lock in your giving level by the end of the month to help us finish the year strong! We cannot wait to move boldly into the next season with you, our steadfast community of patrons and supporters, by our side.
