KATE BLACKLOCK
Tiverton Four Corners’ GALLERY at FOUR welcomes the nationally recognized artist and academic Kate Blacklock for an informal gallery talk on Thursday, July 15th at 4:30.
Kate will discuss her latest painting series, SHELTERING, inspired by the isolation brought on during the Covid 19 pandemic on view through August 8th as part of the gallery’s UNITY•HARMONY• V ARIETY group show, as well as her diverse studio work which includes ceramics, 3d printing, photography and painting.
As an artist, Kate has had solo and group exhibitions throughout the country and is currently represented in SHAPES OUT OF NOWHERE, Ceramics From the Robert A. Ellison Collection , at New York’s Metropolitan Museum.
As an academic, Kate has held posts at The Chicago Art Institute, University of Louisiana , Baton Rouge and since 2002., RISD.
